So I had my first day of kick boxing sparring with the pros and boy was it eye opening!
I made a mistake. I’m used to sparring with smaller guys. With them, I could just hang out and counter punch. I didn’t have to throw super hard, and I could just sit back and see what happens.
……..can’t do that with the big guys. I was basically waiting for people to throw first, and getting lit up because of it. To be honest, I fucking LOVED IT. When I work with my back against the wall, I improve. I’ve been resting on my laurels for a while it seems, and the bigger guys will give me a chance to work on my technique and striking first.

That’s my face! My last round I dropped my hand at the wrong time and caught a huge right hand.
When I was sparring with someone else, I somehow managed to screw up my ankle so now I’m limping around. It hurts but…..I have to be back at the gym tomorrow!
